From Thonet-Mundus roots to modern production
The furniture tradition connected to Mobirom reaches back to the early twentieth century in the Caransebes area. The historic factory line was connected to Mundus in 1921 and later to the Thonet-Mundus heritage, which helps explain the company's continued focus on curved wood and classic cafe furniture.
Mobirom S.A. separated from SC Mocars SA in 1995 and continued the local craft as a private Romanian manufacturer. Today, the brand combines inherited know-how with contemporary production needs: repeatable batches, practical logistics, custom finishes and furniture suitable for demanding daily use.
What the factory makes
The product range includes bentwood chairs, standard wooden chairs, armchairs, bar stools, tables, high bar tables, sets, coffee tables, rocking chairs, children's furniture, terrace furniture and table tops. The strongest identity remains solid wood seating for restaurants, hotels, cafes, bars, pubs and dining rooms.
- Beech and ash wooden chairs for HORECA and home interiors.
- Steam-bent beech furniture inspired by classic European cafe design.
- Custom colors, upholstery choices and project quantities on request.
Why this matters for buyers
For hospitality buyers, the factory story is not only decorative history. It signals repeatable production, real material knowledge and the ability to discuss technical details directly with a manufacturer instead of only a reseller.
